Ten Years Have Passed... Long Live World Trade Center

As we look on at Downtown Manhattan in 2011, our minds think back to 2001... How different our lives were, and how different New York City was. World Trade Center stood atop of NYC. Ten years ago when this tragedy happened, New York City was devastated. As well as those from New Jersey and surrounding areas, because it hit so close to home. However, New Yorkers persevered with helping hands from neighbors all around. As a city, New York united and as a country the United States of America united.

Growing up every time my father drove up the NJ Turnpike, once you passed by the chemical plants of Rahway, with the right kind of eye I could see the Twin Towers touching the sky. And in NYC the sky is the limit. I will never forget that day even after a decade has passed. I just wish that I could relive the drive up the Turnpike. Long Live World Trade Center! - Fred

It seems unbelievable that ten years have passed,  it was a time that everyone remembers where they were and how they felt.  I happened to have started my first semester of college and the World Trade Center was a daily stop in my commute.  Before September 11th, the daily commuters that rushed every morning up those huge escalators seemed like strangers, but on that day everyone was united as brothers and sisters.  The Twin Towers symbolized the spirit of reaching great heights which lives on today. - Sara

Goodbye Summer

As the seasons change once again, we reflect on the summer passed. Here's a small compilation of pictures taken at the New Jersey Shore. Shallow depth of fields, Slow Shutters that create ghostly images and the contrast of a decaying ship on a beach all symbolize the nostalgic feeling when summer ends.
